In this episode TruthSeekah is joined by Christian Rapper Sevin. Sevin talks about being blacklisted from many christian circles but still never turning his back on the purpose at hand. Over the years Sevin has built a wide following of believers who do not seem to fit into the church norm. Covered from head to toe in tattoos Sevins ministry often caters to those within the gang culture. Sevin is the stage name of Marques Adams, a Christian gangsta rapper based in Sacramento, California. His songs deal with the trials and tribulations of street life, and aim to promote a positive, faith-driven lifestyle as an alternative to drugs, violence, and gang activity. Sevin is highly prolific, with well over a dozen albums and mixtapes to his name. He began rapping as a teenager, releasing his debut album All or None in 1999. In 2001, he founded an urban ministry titled HOG MOB (Hooked on God, Ministry Over Business). The organization has since spread to include chapters in 40 cities spanning three countries. Commissary (2013) was Sevin’s first album to hit the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. After signing with God Over Money Records in 2016, Sevin’s album Purple Heart was an even bigger success, hitting multiple Billboard charts.

Catherine Ponder is an American minister of the Unity Church, and author of books in the prosperity field.

Catherine Ponder is considered one of America’s foremost inspirational authors. She has written more than a dozen books, which include such bestsellers as her Millionaires of the Bible series. She is a minister of the non-denominational Unity faith and has been described as “the Norman Vincent Peale among lady ministers.” She has served in Unity Churches since 1956, and heads a global ministry in Palm Desert, California.

After studying business she enrolled in the Unity Ministerial School, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1956. She was ordained as a Unity Church minister in 1958, with an initial ministry in Birmingham, Alabama (1958–61). She founded ministries in Austin, Texas (1961–69), San Antonio (1969–73) and Palm Desert, California in 1973, where she remains minister.

Ponder wrote her first prosperity book The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity in the early 1960s whilst living in Birmingham, Alabama. Her life expanded dramatically whilst she was in the midst of finishing that book. She married and moved to the southwest, where her husband taught at the University of Texas. Much later, after her husband’s death, her life changed again. In the early 1970s, another move took her to San Antonio, Texas. There she remarried and wrote a sequel to that earlier book, entitled Open Your Mind to Prosperity.

She has given lectures on the universal principles of prosperity in most of the major cities of America (and a lot of small ones, too): from Town Hall and the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York, to the Phoenix Country Club in Arizona, to the Pioneer Theater Auditorium in Reno, Nevada. From Honolulu to New Orleans she has given interviews on television and radio, as well as numerous interviews by the print media.

Ponder’s The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity was included among 50 ‘success classics’ in an eponymous book by personal development scholar Tom Butler-Bowdon. Her Open Your Mind To Prosperity was separately featured in his book 50 Prosperity Classics.

Places to see in ( Kansas City – USA )

Kansas City sits on Missouri’s western edge, straddling the border with Kansas. It’s known for its barbecue, jazz heritage and fountains. Downtown, the American Jazz Museum shares a building with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in the historic 18th & Vine Jazz District. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, with giant shuttlecocks out front, houses nearly 40,000 works of art, from ancient to contemporary collections.

Kansas City is a city that tends to hide itself from tourists. Having reportedly more boulevards than Paris and more fountains than any other city in the world except for Rome, it is a beautiful city, too. Two neighboring cities sharing the same name: Kansas City, KS and Kansas City, MO. They are known locally as KCK (verbally expressed as each letter) and KCMO (verbally expressed as letters “K” then “C” then the sound of the last two letters together, sounding like the word “mow”). Kansas City, Missouri is the predominant city of the metropolitan area.

The suburbs are largely south of the central city, though the area north of the Missouri River (known locally as the Northland) is beginning to experience growth similar to the south. Numbering of east/west streets begins at the Missouri River with the east/west division occurring at Main Street. Westport is around 40th St., the Plaza at 47th St., Brookside at 55th, and Waldo beginning around Gregory (71st St.).

Downtown Kansas City is generally defined as the areas including the River Market, the central business district (the “Loop”), the Crossroads Arts District, Crown Center and Union Station. A visitor enters Midtown when they cross 31st Street. A largely residential area, it is the largest single named neighborhood in the city, and actually includes a number of smaller neighborhoods, like Hyde Park, Squire Park, Sheraton Estates, Ivanhoe, Coleman Highlands, Roanoke, Volker, Westport, Southmoreland, Valentine, North Plaza, and many others.

With its fiery barbecues (100-plus joints smoke it up), bubbling fountains (more than 200; on par with Rome) and blaring jazz, Kansas City may just be the coolest city in America nobody’s talking about. It’s certainly a don’t-miss Great Plains highlight with world-class museums and quirky art-filled neighborhoods that jostle for your attention. You can easily run aground for several days as you tune into the local vibe.
